Ingredients:

For the Marination:

  • 1 kg chicken, bone-in (drumsticks or thighs)
  • 1 cup yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp Nuvi Spicez’ Chicken Masala
  • 1/2 lemon, squeezed
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Create Your Tandoori Magic:

  1. Marinate to Perfection: In a large bowl, mix the chicken pieces with yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste, Nuvi’s Chicken Masala, mustard oil, lemon juice and salt. Massage the marinade into the chicken, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let it rest in the fridge for at least 2-4 hours or even overnight for the ultimate flavour infusion.
  1. Prep Your Grill or Oven: Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (400°F). If using an oven, line a baking tray with foil and place a wire rack on top to ensure even cooking.
  1. Grill to Smoky Goodness: Place the marinated chicken on the grill or oven rack. Cook for 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is charred and fully cooked through. If using an oven, switch to the broil setting for the last 5 minutes to get that perfect smoky finish.
  1. Baste for Extra Juiciness: While the chicken is cooking, mix melted butter, lemon juice and a pinch of Nuvi’s Chicken Masala. Brush this over the chicken during the last few minutes of grilling for an extra layer of flavour and moisture.
